The owner of Marathon Air started working as a restaurant owner and manager, almost 30 years ago, in nearby Apopka.  At the same time, he sold restaurant refrigeration equipment and designed restaurants from the ground up for many popular area restaurants.  Over time, he became interested in the service side of the commercial refrigeration and HVAC business, which led him to establish Marathon Air.
